The women I work with have no time. Every second is jam-packed with stuff. They are working, shuttling kids around, grabbing groceries, planning meals. The last thing they will do is to take any time for themselves.

What is the first thing anyone says to you when you ask them how they are? BUSY. We are all so damn busy! Business is a great distraction. If we keep super busy, there’s a lot of things we don’t have to think about. 

We are the queens of multi-tasking, right?? You don’t just get a pedicure, you get a pedicure while you’re working on my phone, or talking to a client. You don’t just watch Netflix at night, you do it while cleaning up toys, packing lunches or writing emails.

I don’t think I’m your typical mom. Maybe I am. Maybe I just think I’m not because of all the media telling me what a typical mom should be. 


I didn’t even think I wanted to be a mom. I liked my freedom, going out, spending money on myself. I remember once buying an expensive pair of jeans and thinking, “If I had kids, I couldn’t do this. And I love these jeans”. But then I met the right guy, and we had a son.


And I have to say, I really love being a mom. I honestly didn’t think  would. 

I didn’t think I would me “mom -like” enough to be a mom. I felt, before I even had my son, that I was a potential mom failure.

3 Ways To Conquer Mom Overwhelm!

So, my new business is very busy, and I work alot- not only with clients, but on other facets too. Just when I’m feeling successful, I forget about Crazy Hair day at my son’s school, or realize we have no bread in the morning and have to grab him a sandwich from Tim Horton’s for lunch that day. Sometimes I forget about picture day, and I always buy him winter boots after the first snow. (Winter comes so fast!) I also really don’t want to go on field trips. Or have big birthday parties. When I help him with homework I end up yelling, and both of us cry. So what happens? All the success I feel that I have in my life goes out the window, because I develop MOM GUILT. (Also, my house is usually super messy and my son’s room is a disaster.)

Where does this MOM GUILT come from? Why do we feel that we have to be some weird image of the perfect mom? I work with many women who have this mom guilt, as well as Overwhelm. I think the guilt comes from the Overwhelm.

Eliminate Your Limiting Beliefs, Easily and Effortlessly!

What are some things you believe, that hold you back? We all have them. They sit in your brain, telling you things like:
Why would I even apply for that job? I’m not good enough to get it.
Ugh! I’m fat and gross.
No-one wants to hear what I have to say.

I can’t make money.

Find Your Abundance With The Goddess Laetitia.

When I was looking for a goddess for June, I was trying to find someone who was a little less known, and suited how I was feeling about this month, or maybe how I needed to feel.

I came across Laetitia. She is the little known goddess of celebration, joy, prosperity and abundance. She gives you the ability to celebrate and be joyous, despite one's fears. She was perfect for how I was feeling, right about now!

As some of you know, I am about to embark on an exciting, but terrifying summer, filled with travel, hardly working and spending a ton of money. If there's a goddess I need to channel, it's one of prosperity and fun times!

I am going to Italy with my family for a month, returning for 3 days, then I'm off to Nevada to take my Master level Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner Certification. I'll be gone for 2 and 1/2 weeks. I've never been away from my family for that long! And the money I'll be spending! Yikes!

Stay a Fit Goddess While You Travel!

I am doing a ton of travelling this summer, and my worry is always how to stay fit while I'm away, so when I come home my workouts aren't torture. Also, I work hard at the gym, and I hate to lose my gains! It's totally not fair how fast you lost what you work so hard for!

I know I always do tons of walking and swimming while I'm away in Europe, but I like to keep my muscles strong, especially because I am just getting over some injuries and I can't have my muscles get weak!

Here are some tips to keep your fitness level up, and still have fun while you travel!

1. Remember you are on vacation. Relax, and have fun. Don't obsess about getting your workouts in. (This is a challenge for me!)

2. Bring a set of resistance bands. They are super light and versatile.

3. Commit to doing a quick workout, maybe 3x/week. I usually try to do 30 minutes of weights and intervals a few times a week. I do them first thing in the morning, so all my galavanting doesn't get in the way.

Did you know that the goddess Athena popped out of Zeus’s head, fully grown and clad in armour? How cool is that? She represents wisdom and clear thinking, and level headedness in battle. She didn’t use brute force in war, but relied on her wisdom to win wars.

So what can we harness from this? I like to think of Athena as the brains of the operation- thinking logically, with that quiet power and confidence that fosters admiration and respect. I think of her as an Oprah – a powerful career woman or business owner. A mom who puts up with no crap, or someone who plays in a man’s world, and wins. A lawyer who sticks up for those who can’t defend themselves, a young girl braving herself against a bully in the schoolyard. Athena gives us our strength.

The Goddess Abeona- The Goddess Of Leaving Your Comfort Zone

This month, I needed to channel a goddess who would allow me to travel, evolve and change. I am taking a month off- June- to travel to Italy with my family, and then I'll be in Nevada for two and a half weeks for the NLP Master Practitioner certification. To say I'm feeling overwhelmed and stressed would be an understatement! I'm trying to get myself and my business the place we need to be in order to take 2 months off.

So I need a goddess to make me feel empowered, not stressed. I did some research, and found Abeona. She is the goddess of first steps, often the first steps a child takes away from her parents, going off to explore the world. She is the goddess of partings, and leaving your comfort zone.
