How Limiting Beliefs are Sabotaging Your Career and How To Stop Them

Uncategorized Nov 18, 2019

I have worked with CEO’s to salespeople to surgeons, and the one thing they all have in common is a struggle with limiting beliefs.

We all have them, although sometimes we don’t want to admit it.

Limiting beliefs are just thoughts. Powerful, sabotaging thoughts like, Im not good enough, I probably suck at this job, I don’t deserve to make this much money, I’m a fraud, sales is hard, making money is hard.

How does this affect you? Maybe you don’t go for promotions that you know you would be great at, find yourself passed over for that new role or feel stuck in a safe but unsatisfying career. Maybe a lack of confidence is creating problems at home, that you bring into work- beliefs around money- it’s hard to make, or that you don’t deserve it.

These beliefs start in your unconscious mind.

Your unconscious mind is extremely powerful. It is where 90% of all change happens. It remembers everything, and is...

Do you feel a lack of intimacy and closeness with your partner? Maybe you aren’t having sex anymore and feel like you’re roommates rather than lovers. You haven’t felt that spark in awhile. Sex feels like a chore when you do have it, and sometimes you have crazy anxiety or dread beforehand, because you just can’t get as excited as you used to, and don’t want your partner to notice.

Or maybe you’re fighting all the time and you feel so much anger, you don’t know where it’s all coming from, but you do know that it’s hard to control. You just can’t forgive their past mistakes.

You really want to move forward from the past and heal your relationship, but it’s just so hard. How do you even do that?

Lots of people give all kinds of advice, and most of it is wrong. Read on while I bust some myths and help you get your relationship, and yourself, back on track.

If You Stop Controlling Everything, The World Will NOT End

Uncategorized Jun 21, 2018

If you are a mom, you are probably a control freak.

Don’t try to deny it. I will tell people I’m easy going, but in reality, I need to be control. I like to be the one who makes all the doctor and dentist appointments, deals with tutors, organizes events around the house. I like to be the one who gets my son up and ready for school. We have a system. I get him to school on time. The house will fall apart if it’s not for me.

Last summer, I went to Nevada for 3 weeks to do my next level of NLP training. I had to give up all control. It made me insane. I was far away, not planning camps, birthday dinners or groceries.  I had to have faith that my husband could take care of things. And guess what? No-one died. Everyone ate, had birthday dinners and got to camp on time.

They did it without me. Although I like to think it was way less organized and not as much fun.

Women feel like they need to do it all. And then we get tired. And overwhelmed. And angry....

How To Create Some Time For Yourself Even If You Feel You Don’t Have One Single Second

Uncategorized Jun 14, 2018

The women I work with have no time. Every second is jam-packed with stuff. They are working, shuttling kids around, grabbing groceries, planning meals. The last thing they will do is to take any time for themselves.

What is the first thing anyone says to you when you ask them how they are? BUSY. We are all so damn busy! Business is a great distraction. If we keep super busy, there’s a lot of things we don’t have to think about.

We are the queens of multi-tasking, right?? You don’t just get a pedicure, you get a pedicure while you’re working on my phone, or talking to a client. You don’t just watch Netflix at night, you do it while cleaning up toys, packing lunches or writing emails.

One of the things I always task my clients with is to find time for yourself. My whole process has to do with finding out who you truly are. You. Not you the mom, you the wife, you the employee. You. That authentic part of you that might be hiding under the work,...

What To Do When You Feel Like You're Failing at Being A Mom

Uncategorized Jun 10, 2018

I don’t think I’m your typical mom. Maybe I am. Maybe I just think I’m not because of all the media telling me what a typical mom should be.

I didn’t even think I wanted to be a mom. I liked my freedom, going out, spending money on myself. I remember once buying an expensive pair of jeans and thinking, “If I had kids, I couldn’t do this. And I love these jeans”. But then I met the right guy, and we had a son.

And I have to say, I really love being a mom. I honestly didn’t think  would.

I didn’t think I would me “mom -like” enough to be a mom. I felt, before I even had my son, that I was a potential mom failure.

Society has so many expectations on moms. Dads barely have to show up and do a load of laundry once in awhile, and they’re rocking it. Moms need to be perfect. If you don’t believe me, just join a few Mom Groups on Facebook. Holy judgement! You are pretty...

What To Expect From Your Breakthrough!

anxiety breakthrough nlp May 30, 2018

A question I get asked a lot is, what do you do? Like, exactly?

And because my process is completely different from therapy, counselling or life coaching, I find that people are curious. And maybe a wee bit skeptical. And that's totally ok!

So here it is- here's what goes on.

You have a problem. Maybe it's anxiety. Or depression. Trauma. Overwhelm. You can't lose weight. You hate your body. You can't stop yelling at your kids. You're stuck and don't know why.

Maybe you feel like you've tried everything. Therapy, diets, doctors. Nothing has worked. You hear about my Breakthrough process. That it is super fast (about 15 hours), painless and that I guarantee it.

You are like, "As if," but decide to give it a go, because you have tried literally EVERYTHING else.

1. You come into my clinic, Two Rivers Health, if you're in or around Guelph. Go on a virtual tour hereIt's a beautiful, calming space with 9 other female practitioners, in all different health...

3 Weight Loss Mistakes Even Smart Women Make

Are you always thinking about getting healthier, and want to lose weight, but just can't seem to make it happen?

Over my many years as a personal trainer, and now, as a Breakthrough Specialist, I hear ALL THE TIME about women wanting to lose weight. But here's the thing...

We are all making some major mistakes...

1. Dieting.

Yup, that's right. Dieting.

It totally works - IN THE SHORT TERM.

Put up your hand if you want to be on a diet your whole life...

Thought so.

How about never again eating your favourite foods, and when you do, feeling guilty and like a failure?

Sound like a good time?

Or do you enjoy dieting, losing weight, then dieting again, because you gained the weight back, and then dieting again, only this time it's so much harder, and then restricting more foods because THIS DIET HAS GOT TO WORK? Right.

Did you ever think that you and your body know exactly what you need to eat, and when?

To trust yourself, instead of trusting a guy who doesn't know you who made up...

3 Ways To Conquer Mom Overwhelm!

emotions hypnosis nlp Oct 26, 2017

So, my new business is very busy, and I work alot- not only with clients, but on other facets too. Just when I’m feeling successful, I forget about Crazy Hair day at my son’s school, or realize we have no bread in the morning and have to grab him a sandwich from Tim Horton’s for lunch that day. Sometimes I forget about picture day, and I always buy him winter boots after the first snow. (Winter comes so fast!) I also really don’t want to go on field trips. Or have big birthday parties. When I help him with homework I end up yelling, and both of us cry. So what happens? All the success I feel that I have in my life goes out the window, because I develop MOM GUILT. (Also, my house is usually super messy and my son’s room is a disaster.)

Where does this MOM GUILT come from? Why do we feel that we have to be some weird image of the perfect mom? I work with many women who have this mom guilt, as well as Overwhelm. I think the guilt comes from the Overwhelm.

Eliminate Your Limiting Beliefs, Easily and Effortlessly!

coaching mindset nlp therapy Oct 18, 2017

What are some things you believe, that hold you back? We all have them. They sit in your brain, telling you things like:
Why would I even apply for that job? I’m not good enough to get it.
Ugh! I’m fat and gross.
No-one wants to hear what I have to say.
I’m a terrible mom/wife/partner/boss.
I always get sick in the Fall.
I can’t make money.
I don’t deserve nice things.

Sound familiar? I could go on and on, but I wont, because I don’t want to bum you out. These beliefs often sound ridiculous, on a rational level, but they are there, clouding things, helping you to give up, opt out and never live your best life.

Your unconscious mind is super powerful. It is where 90% of all change happens. It remembers everything, and causes you to make choices, often to protect you, but these choices often don’t serve you in the best way. Think of it as a genie- a genie who grants all your wishes, but sometimes what you think you want isn’t really what you...

Find Your Abundance With The Goddess Laetitia.

Uncategorized May 28, 2017

When I was looking for a goddess for June, I was trying to find someone who was a little less known, and suited how I was feeling about this month, or maybe how I needed to feel.

I came across Laetitia. She is the little known goddess of celebration, joy, prosperity and abundance. She gives you the ability to celebrate and be joyous, despite one's fears. She was perfect for how I was feeling, right about now!

As some of you know, I am about to embark on an exciting, but terrifying summer, filled with travel, hardly working and spending a ton of money. If there's a goddess I need to channel, it's one of prosperity and fun times!

I am going to Italy with my family for a month, returning for 3 days, then I'm off to Nevada to take my Master level Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner Certification. I'll be gone for 2 and 1/2 weeks. I've never been away from my family for that long! And the money I'll be spending! Yikes!

To be honest, I've been swinging between super, crazy...
